Local News(ish) – Digby Jones

Firstly, apologies for yet another pause in the Birmingham-based cartooning… been a tad busy recently (which is nice).

Anyway, back to the cartoon – Digby Jones (sorry, Lord Jones of Birmingham), former head of the CBI and Minister of State in Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (despite not even being a member of the Labour Party) had apparently revealed (then retracted) his decision to stand down and not support Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the general election.

p.s. for those of us not of ‘a certain age’ – Digby, The Biggest Dog In The World – is a fairly awful but well-remembered British kids movie of the early 70s.
