Well, it’s been more than a year since my last Dr Sketchy’s update (part 2 – part 3), and you may be forgiven for thinking that I’d not been in the last twelve months. Well, with another Anti-Art School class happening this very Saturday, I thought it was time I dusted off the sketchbooks and showed you what I’ve been drawing.

As you may have seen in my previous post, last year I got married to Maria on a steam train. Well, not exactly… we actually got married at Kidderminster Register Office, but we went for a steampunk theme for the whole day, and, fittingly, booked a steam train for the wedding breakfast. One year ago today, I married my lovely wife Maria in Kidderminster. I’d proposed a year earlier, whilst on holiday in Prague, and we started planning and plotting the big day at the beginning of the year. To mark our first Anniversary, I thought I’d post some photos and memories of the day. This is the first of two posts – the second should go out later in the week.
Keen observers of my website (both of you) will have noticed I’ve not been updating this blog particularly frequently recently. This has been in part due to work being a bit busier than usual as my other venture, drawnalism (a joint project with fellow cartoonist Matt ‘Hack’ Buck), goes from strength to strength; partly due to my recent wedding to the lovely Maria (read all about her new business over at mazzawoo.com); but mostly due me being a bit feckless. For once, a bit of non-cartooning news… this coming Saturday 3rd November (tomorrow!), I will be marrying my lovely fiancée Maria Harvey in Kidderminster, which we’ll be celebrating with family and friends on the Severn Valley Railway. In keeping with the steamy nature of the vintage railway, the theme is that of Steampunk. (more…)
