Alex Hughes Cartoons and Caricatures

And now I launch my new project for this year… I intend to draw a caricature of a personality in the news every week for the next 52 weeks. The twist being, they’re going to be in the style of playing cards, the plan being that there’ll be a full deck at the end of the year (OK, minus the jokers, but I might fit them in along the way).

So, to get the ball rolling, here’s the first – the late Saddam Hussain, as the 10 of Spades:
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the plan is to theme the suits, so Hearts will be British Politics, Spades World Affairs, Diamonds Entertainment and Clubs everything else…
