Apparently publicity-shy businessman David Abrahams was thrust into the limelight this week when it was revealed he was making substantial donations to the Labour party through intermediaries, conveniently side-stepping party-funding regulations and bringing the sleaze spotlight onto Labour party fundraising.
And now for week 36, and operatic tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, famous for his signature piece, Nessun Dorma which was used by the BBC for their coverage of the Italian World Cup in 1990, died this week from kidney failure at the age of 71.
