Week 27… and this week is the good news that kidnapped BBC journalist Alan Johnston was released from captivity by the Army of Islam group after 114 days. During his time as a hostage he was shown on video wearing a suicide bombers vest.

Card-i-cature a week… Week 25 – Salman Rushdie (the 6 of Clubs)

This has, of course, upset a lot of Muslims, in particular Iran, but for some reason, no-one appeared to have seen this coming…
Week 22 and it’s Andrei Lugovoi, the former KGB spy in whose name an arrest warrant was submitted to the Russian government as part of the on-going investigation into the murder of Russian dissident and writer Alexander Litvinenko, who was poisoned by radioactive element Polonium 210.
Week 18, and it’s time for another card. This time it’s Lord Browne, the (now former) head of BP, who resigned this week following lying to court over a homosexual relationship (and subsquently allegations of misuse of BP funds), as revealed in the Mail on Sunday.
